Burch, Edna L. (28 JUN 1919)
At eight o’clock on Saturday evening, June 28, 1919, a very pretty wedding took place at the "Church of the Good Shepherd," when Edna L. Burch of Greenwood, Wis., and George W. Houser of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, were united in Marriage by Rev. Drew.
Bowls and vases of roses, yarrow and clover were used for decorations. The regular Episcopal service was used, the bride’s mother giving the bride away. Immediately after the service a light luncheon was served at the home of Mrs. George Cravna. Only a few intimate friends were present at the service.
The bride wore a beautiful gown of flesh colored georgette and the groom who was but recently discharged from the navy wore his U.S. Navy uniform.
Mrs. Houser was at one time a teacher in the high school of Dakota, and has been a frequent visitor here since, during the past years she has taught at Park River, N.D., where Mr. Houser is at present manager of the Robertson Lumber Company. He expects to become permanently located during the summer. The Gleaner wishes the newlyweds many years of happy wedded life.
