Anderegg, John (6 July 1869 - 6 Sept. 1940)
John Anderegg was born to John and Katherine Anderegg July 6, 1869, in the town of Greenfield, Mormon Coulee, La Crosse County, Wis. He passed away at 11:15 Friday evening, September 6, 1940, in the Owen Hospital, following an operation. His age was 71 years and two months.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Reformed Church of Mormon Coulee where he grew to young manhood. He came to Clark County 43 years ago and farmed in the town of York for about 25 years. During the remainder of his life he made his home in various places, the last one being Neillsville, Wis. He was never married.
Those who survive are six brothers: Andrew, Jacob and Henry of the town of York; Fred of Blair, Wis.; William of Neillsville; August of Loyal; and three sisters, Katherine and Minnie of Chicago, and Mrs. Andrew (Selma) Starch of Mormon Coulee.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the Henry Anderegg home in the town of York, and at two o’clock from the Zion Reformed church, Rev. Wilson M. Bixler officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
