Pape, Ernest H. (8 APR 1878 - 29 MAR 1936)
Ernest Henry Pape, 57 years of age, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 29, 1926, at his home, after a short illness of pneumonia.
Mr. Pape was born in Germany and at the age of three years came to America with his parents, settling in Iowa. There he grew to manhood. In 1911 he moved to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) and settled on a farm where he resided until his death. He was married in 1917 to Helen M. Dean. Four children were born to them, namely, Mrs. Harry Julson of Owen, William, Dorothy and Glenn, at home. Three brothers and three sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Augusta Korthals of Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Anna Stuhr, Genesco, Ill., Mrs. Fred Hugunin, Comanche, Ia., August Pape, Belvidere, Ill., Francis Pape, Barryton, Mich., and William Pape of Owen, Wis.
Those attending the funeral from away were Irma Pape of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. August Pape and son, Carl, and family, Mrs. Franklin Nelson, Mrs. Fred Hugunin, Mr. and Mrs. William Castrey and daughter, Edith, Mrs. August Banscher and Mrs. Henry Dean.
The pallbearers were H.B. Mauel, Henry Reigel, Roy Anderson, John Blum, Otto Schinke, and Rudolph Borgeson. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.
