Lokken, Anton T. (1 FEB 1885 - 26 SEP 1936)

Funeral services for A.T. Lokken, who passed away at a hospital in Chippewa Falls early Saturday morning, were held at Blair Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. Sweder officiating.. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Anton Lokken was born at Blair on Feb. 1st, 1885, completing his education in the schools there and started work on the local paper where he served his apprenticeship. Leaving Blair, he went to Moose lake, Minn., where he published a newspaper for nine years. He also worked at Fort Atkinson before coming to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) where for the past ten years he has served as foreman of the Owen Enterprise.

He is survived by two brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Lokken leaves to mourn his passing a large host of friends in Owen and surrounding communities who will miss his pleasant calls, and his cheerful greeting. During his stay in Owen he was highly regarded by his many friends and became one of the best liked men of this city.

Those from here who attended the funeral were Mrs. V.P. Barger and son, James.
