Hansen, Bertha (22 JUL 1859 - 5 NOV 1936)

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon Nov. 7 at 2 o’clock at the Danish Church at Withee for Bertha Hansen, 77 year old resident of that place. Rev. M. Mikkelsen officiated. Interment was made in the Danish Cemetery.

Miss Bertha Hansen was born in Lolland, Denmark, on July 22, 1859, and came to America with her parents at the age of seven. They settled on a farm near Neenah and it was in the public schools of that place that she received her education.

A resident of Withee for the past fifteen years, Miss Hansen was a member of the Danish church and the Ladies’ Aid Society. She has been an invalid for the past three years.

She is survived by one brother, Lars Peter Hansen.

Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Simpson of Oshkosh.
