Steinert, Henrietta (6 SEP 1861 - 15? NOV 1936)

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 18th, at 2 o’clock for Mrs. Henrietta Arndt Steinert from the Griebenow-Weirich Funeral Home. Rev. W.P. Powell officiated. Interment was made in Riverside Cemetery.

Henrietta Arndt Steinert, daughter of Otto and Henrietta Arndt was born in Posen, Germany, Sept. 6, 1861. She came to the United States at the age of 17 years, and with her parents, settled in Milwaukee in 1884. She came with her parents to Withee, Clark Co., Wis., and settled on a wild piece of land, 1 ˝ miles west of Withee, on which is now the Hagen farm.

After several years she was married to Julius (Anton Theodore?) Steinert, who preceded her in death three years ago.

This union was blessed with five children: Arthur of Withee, Anna Miller of Chicago, and three who preceded her in death in infancy.

At the time of her death she was 76 years, 2 months and 5 days old. She being a patient sufferer for 37 years.
