Miss Elsie Kayre, daughter of Mrs. Hanna Karye of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Arnold Bjornstad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sever Bjornstad, also of Owen, were united in marriage at the parsonage of the Christian Missionary Alliance on Friday evening, Jan. 8, 1937, at eight o’clock. Rev. J.H. Rostad performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a gown of rust colored flat crepe with brown accessories and the bridesmaid, Katherine Lamont of Colby, wore a gown of blue flat crepe with accessories to match.
The groom and his attendant, his brother, Selmer, wore dark blue tailored suits.
The couple left for a wedding trip to Chicago and other parts of Illinois, returning to Owen on Monday. They will be at home to their friends after Feb. 1st.
Mr. Bjornstad is a graduate of the Owen High School and at present is employed as a truck driver for the county.
