Hamm, Jacob (1 SEP 1865 - 11 FEB 1937)
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Holway for Jacob Hamm, who passed away at his home on Thursday, Feb. 11, 1937. Rev. Father Seeboth officiated at the ceremony.
Jacob Hamm was born in Schlesingerville, near Hartford, on Sept. 1, 1865. In 1881 he moved with his parents to Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) where they remained through the winter. In the spring of 1862 they moved to a homestead in Taylor County. Mr. Hamm has been ill for the past two years and passed away at the age of 71.
Mr. Hamm is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. George Rhyner of Wausau, and Mrs. Alvin Swanson of Superior, and two sons, George of Chippewa Falls, and Leonard of Holway; also two brothers, two sisters and 12 grandchildren.
