Schmelzer, William (30 NOV 1900 - 10 MAR 1937)

William Schmelzer, 36, a resident of Hull Township, died at the LeGault Hospital (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) on Wednesday morning, March 10, 1937. Death came as a result of ruptured appendix. He was ill but a short time before submitting to an operation for the ailment.

Mr. Schmelzer was born in Germany, on Nov. 30, 1900, and came to this community with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schmelzer, about 11 years ago. He was married to Miss Evelyn Schmutzler on June 22, 1932.

Surviving besides his wife are his parents and two brothers, Fred and Ernest.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed, but the rites will be conducted at Zion Lutheran Church at Colby.
