Mr. and Mrs. William West and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stanley went to Eau Claire Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Charland.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Lesar of Willard were Sunday dinner guests at the Herman Pagenkopf home.
Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Baum and daughter, Vivian, of Eau Claire, spent a few hours Sunday afternoon with their old friends, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Sniteman.
Mrs. John D. Wuethrich, Jr., Greenwood, spoke on the topic, "What Does the Triple A Stand For?" at a recent meeting of the Monday Progress club, Neillsville, discussing the events that produced the effects that made the program necessary, also listing the points that the AAA stands for Mrs. Wuethrich’s talk was followed by a group discussion on the question, "Are the Farmers Better Off Than They Were in 1932?" Marguerite Brown was guest soloist.
Mrs. Frank J. Kelly of Seattle, Wash., arrived here Sunday and visited with the parents of her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kelly, until Wednesday. Before coming to Neillsville, Mrs. Kelly visited her mother at Delano, Minn., and also attended the Washington-Minnesota football game at Minneapolis Saturday.
The John Charles home at the east end of the city is being re-shingled.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gustafson of Delevan, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Tufts, Chicago, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Allen of the town of Pine Valley recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hepburn spent Sunday with his brother at Prairie Farm.
Henry Martin, H. A. North and M. C. Rodolf drove to Minneapolis to witness the Minnesota-Washington football game Saturday.
David Lewerenz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lewerenz, was taken to the Wisconsin General Hospital for treatment Monday.
Herbert Akioka, wife and two sons, Donald and Herbert, Marshfield, visited Mrs. John Charles and other friends here Sunday.
The Bardeleben property on East Sixth Street has been purchased by Robert Prochazka, Sr., and is being remodeled and repaired for rental purposes.
Mrs. John Charles spent from Wednesday until Saturday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raeburn Paulson in the town of Pine Valley, the house which she and Mr. Charles erected after their buildings were destroyed by the cyclone in 1907, this farm being the Charles Homestead.
Mr. and Mrs. Bleski of Marshfield were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kuhl and family of Pine Valley Sunday.
Fred Seif spent last Wednesday at Milwaukee on business.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hauge were callers at Eau Claire Monday.
Dr. Orville Paulson, Mr. Timm and Mr. Fluegel, all of Eau Claire, Lewis Bradbury, Walter Dangers and Al Clumpner formed a hunting party, going out from Neillsville Thursday.
John Bartosz of Two Rivers called on relatives here last Wednesday.
Herbert Lowe and son, William of this city and Dan Castner of Loyal left Saturday for Whitetail, Montana, where drilling for oil is expected to start soon.
Mr. and Mrs. Glynn Stoffel of Altoona spent Tuesday in Neillsville with relatives and friends.
Miss Betty Scherer returned to her work in Chicago Monday after a week visit here with her parents and brother. She accompanied her uncle, Matt Scherer, as far as Madison on the return trip.
Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Osmondson of Decorah, Iowa, spent the weekend here with the Henry Thomsen family at their home on South Grand Avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. William Stelter, Sr., and their son, William, Jr., [**A portion is missing here**]

Joseph Prock spent Sunday with his daughter, Mrs. Albert Barton, in the town of Weston.
M. G. Hales recently accepted the position as assistant cashier of the Loyal State Bank and moved his family to that village. Miss Dorene Zuege was promoted to the position of assistant secretary-treasurer for the Neillsville Production Credit Association, which was made vacant by the resignation of Mr. Hales, and her formers work, that of assistant secretary, is being filled by Miss Evelyn Wetzel, who taught in the rural schools of Clark County for the past 10 years.
Mrs. Anna Haderer of Milwaukee arrived last Thursday to spend several days with her sister, Mrs. Otto Neverman. She returned home Monday.
Mrs. Guy Hill of Montevideo, Minn., arrived here Tuesday to visit at the A. F. Flynn home until Sunday, when Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Crane of Chippewa Falls will drive down to get her.
Mr. and Mrs. William Terman have moved into the Crosby house on South Oak Street, which recently was vacated by the M. G. Hales family.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cowles of Eagle Bend, Minn., arrived here Wednesday to visit, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Byse and Mrs. Hattie Richardson, Mr. Cowles being Mrs. Richardson’s brother.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nemitz, Mrs. E. Marg and Miss Evelyn Hagedorn returned Tuesday afternoon from Arlington and Henderson, Minn., where they visited friends and relatives over the weekend, including Mrs. Richard Schleuter at Henderson, a sister of the three women.
Dr. B. A. Cole, son, Bird Cole, and daughter, Mrs. Henry Dittner, and her daughter, all of Butler, were in Neillsville Wednesday in connection with the probating of the estate of the former’s brother, C. J. Cole, who died September 19.
