Olson, Allen J. (1891 - 15 Jun 1937)
Allen J. Olson, 46, former resident of Medford and Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), committed suicide by taking the contents of a small bottle of heart stimulant pills at Eau Claire Tuesday.
Mr. Olson’s body was discovered in one of the rooms of the YMCA by the night watchman. The deceased, who formerly roomed at the "Y’" had entered one of the rooms unknown to anyone and had there taken the poison.
Mr. Olson came to Eau Claire last August. He was a lumber expert by trade and had been employed by an Eau Claire firm until about two weeks ago. He was despondent over financial and domestic troubles, it was said. He had been married and divorced.
Surviving relatives include a brother, Bertram Olson, Eau Claire, and his parents, living in Medford.
