Laakso, Evelyn (19 JUN 1937)
Announcement was made here this week of the marriage of Miss Elsie Evelyn Laakso, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sal Laakso, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), to Emil Potocnik, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Potocnik, Sr., also of Owen, Wis. The ceremony was performed at the county courthouse at Neillsville Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Judge O. W. Schoengarth officiated at the ceremony.
The bride wore an ankle length redingote gown of pale pink organdy, trimmed with pink lace, and carried a bouquet of pink roses, snapdragons and baby breath.
Both the groom and the best man were attired in sport suits.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Lunch was served to nearly 75 relatives and friends of the newly married couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Potocnik will make their home with the groom’s parents.
