Mary and Sophia Jerina, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. John Jerina of Atwood (Clark Co., Wis.) were united in marriage to Guido Gebben and John Mivshek of Waukegan, Ill., at a double wedding ceremony held in Holy Rosary Church her Saturday, July 24, 1937. The Rev. Father Brady of Abbotsford read the services.
The brides, who approached the altar on the arms of their father, wore white satin and lace dresses with tulle veils trimmed with lace trains. Each carried a prayer book with streamers.
The bridesmaids were Jennie Jerina and Emma Mivshek of Waukegan, and Frances Jerina of Atwood. All were dressed in Swiss organdie and each wore a wrist boquet.
Attending the grooms were Louis Gebben of Waukegan and Frank and Fred Jerina of Atwood. Each wore a dark suit.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Covers were laid for 150.
Out of town guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. Tony Gebben, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sadco, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mivshek, Frank Mivshek Jr., and Miss Irene Schlefendorf.
The newlyweds will make their homes in Waukegan.
