Kubera, Josephine (19 March 1858 - 9 Oct. 1941)

Mrs. Josephine Kubera passed away at the age of 83 years and 6 months and 20 days of old age infirmities on Tuesday Oct. 9, 1941. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Badzinski in the town of Withee where she had been living for a number of years.

The deceased was born in Poland on March 19, 1858. She was married there to Mike (Michael) Kubera on Feb. 2, 1883. They came to America in 1889, and located in Lemont, Illinois, and later to Greenbush, Minnesota. Mrs. Kubera was a resident of Wisconsin for 32 years and a citizen of this community since 1911. Her husband preceded her in death 24 years ago.

Surviving are her six sons, John and Tony (Anthony) of Minneapolis, Joe, Augusta, Wis.; Nick (Nicholas) of Hamtramck, Mich.; and Andrew and Paul of Thorp; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Myrtle) Badzinski of Thorp and Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Kenneth of Minneapolis; 36 grandchildren and many friends.

Last rites were conducted by Father F. A. Kulig at St. Hedwig’s church on Monday morning at 9 o’clock, interment taking place in the parish cemetery. *Pallbearers were Louis, John, George and Alex Badzinski and Leonard and Alvin Kubera. - Thorp Courier.

*Pallbearers were all grandsons of the deceased.
