Pearl Elaine McNamara was born on Oct. 12, 1915, in Ada, Minn. to Eugene and Bridget (nee O’Meara) McNamara. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Chippewa Falls. She was raised and educated in the Chippewa Falls, Greenwood, and Cadott areas. After completing her education, she did domestic work, was a waitress and worked in a cannery. She married Frank Clouse on Aug. 11, 1937, in Chippewa Falls. They lived in the town of Beaver, where her husband worked for the township. She was a homemaker and raised their five children. Her husband, Frank, died on Nov. 14, 1951. She moved to greenwood and lived there until her children were grown. She worked at the Neillsville nursing home from 1966 until the mid-1970s. She then moved to Chippewa Falls to live with her daughter, Bonnie, and help take care of her granddaughter. In 1982, she moved back to Greenwood and resided there until entering the Neillsville Memorial Home in October 1998. She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and its Ladies Aide, and loved to read and sing.

She will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Bonnie Denzer, Chippewa Falls, Carol Jaenke, Greenwood, Evelyn (Ronald) Nelson, Cadott, and Norma (James) Jaenke, Eau Claire; one son, Frank Jr. (Susan) Clouse. Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn (Donald) Shilts, Chippewa Falls.
