Lindsey, Helen Louise (November 25, 1921-January 23, 2007)
Helen Lindsey, age 85, of Neillsville, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. After a life of Christian living she has now gone to be with the Lord.
Helen Louise Lindsey was born on November 25, 1921 in Idalia, MO the daughter of John and Hannah Harper. She grew up and attended school in Idalia and then she attended Community College in Elgin, IL for two years. She was united in marriage to Donald Lindsey on August 1, 1944 in Geneva, IL. Helen loved to cook and be a homemaker. While living in Dundee, IL she was involved with the Ladies group at her church and her church in Fairchild after they moved. She was very devoted to her family and to her Christian life.
She is survived by her husband, Don; two sons, Jerry (Carol) Lindsey, of Tucson, AZ; and Steven (Jean), of Wilcox, AZ; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys Wright and Lena Smith; and brothers, Buck, Rile and John.
Funeral Services for Helen were held Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Pastor Mark Fugate of the Bible Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in the Fairchild Cemetery.
The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Helen’s family with funeral arrangements.
