GREENWOOD -- Edward Mitchell Bogdonovich, 85, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 12, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood. Interment of cremains will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born June 9, 1921, in Willard to Eli and Stephanie (Poppish) Bogdonovich. In 1939 Ed entered the United States Marine Corps and served during World War II until his discharge in 1946. He had been held as a prisoner of war in Japan for more than four years. He married Marilyn Bertz on May 31, 1949, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Loyal. He owned and operated Eddy's Tog Shop in Greenwood until his retirement. He also served as an alderman for the city of Greenwood in Ward 4.

Ed is survived by his wife, Marilyn Bogdonovich of Greenwood; son, William (Mabel) Bogdonovich, Willard; and two stepgrandchildren.
