BRAKEMAN HAS NARROW ESCAPE FROM DEATH
Harvey Wright, a brakeman on the north bound local freight train was seriously injured Wednesday morning. He got his left hand badly jammed and will lose two fingers. He was also hurt internally. Harvey recently received a Hero's Medal from President Roosevelt in recognition for saving the life of a child who was playing on the tracks at Medford last fall when he climbed out on the cow catcher of his engine and lifter the child out of danger.
