Engagement announced

The engagement of Miss Ave Burrows, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Burrows of Fresno, Calif., to Ernest Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Wilson of Oberlin, Kan., was announced November 13 at Pi Sigma sorority at the home of Mrs. Verne Redman. No definite date has been set for the wedding.

The news was revealed when buffet refreshments were served after the business meeting. Bell-shaped cakes bore the names of the engaged couple. Mrs. Burrows assisted in entertaining the group, which her daughter is the president.

Miss Burrows is a graduate of the Roosevelt High School and will be graduated in June from Fresno Sate College. Mr. Wilson will be graduated fin the same class. He is a member of the Blue Key Honor society.

The parents of Miss Burrows formerly were Neillsville residents. They were graduated from the Neillsville High School, being school-day sweethearts and were married here at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rowe, the groom’s father, the Rev. W. P. Burrows, performing the ceremony.
