Dulek, Mary (23 MAR 1864 - 12 OCT 1931)
Mrs. August Dulek died at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Chippewa Falls on Monday, Oct. 12th, 1931, after an illness of two weeks, following an operation for gall stones and appendicitis. Deceased was born in Germany on March 23, 1864, having reached the age of 67 years, 6 months and 18 days. Upon reaching the age of womanhood she was united in marriage in Germany to Mr. August Dulek, and together they emigrated to America in 1890, settling in Joliet, Ill., where they resided for nineteen years, then moving on a 120 acre farm in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) twenty-three years ago. In 1925 she and her husband retired from farming and located in the village of Thorp, which has since been her home.
Deceased leaves to mourn, her aged husband, August Dulek, two sons, Joseph and Leo of Thorp, and four daughters, Mrs. Mary Benzschawel of Thorp, Mrs. Josephine Sydejko of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Paul Schmidt of Thorp, and Mrs. Thresia Bhren, of Joliet, Ill.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. John Sydejko and sons of Chippewa Falls, and Mrs. Ed Heber of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Theo Wittkofski and sons, Mrs. John Wittkofski and son, Mrs. Chas. Brusatori and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. August Musolf, all of Joliet, Ill.
The funeral was held last Wednesday morning at St. Bernard’s Church, Rev. Muckerheide officiating, interment taking place in the parish cemetery.
