Stahl, Mary (20 AUG 1879 - 8 NOV 1931)

Mrs. Edward Stahl passed away early Sunday morning, Nov. 8, 1931, at Duluth Hospital, after an illness of two years.

Mrs. Stahl was born in Germany August 20, 1879 and came to this country at the age of two years with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Smitke. At the age of twenty-five she went to Duluth, Minnesota, and was united in marriage to Edward Stahl, May 7, 1913, at the age of thirty-four. Mr. Stahl preceded her in death in June 1916.

Her body was brought to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and the funeral took place on Tuesday morning from St. Bernard’s Church, Rev. A.M. Muckerheide officiating, interment followed in the Catholic Cemetery by the side of her husband. She leaves to mourn her, two sisters, Miss Catherine Smitke, and Mrs. Harry Perkins of Duluth, three brothers, Matt Smitke of Duluth, John of Rice Lake, and Frank of Thorp. Also three nephews and five nieces.
