Lyle L. Bulgrin, 64, 5598 Riverview Court, Stevens Point, owner of the former Wild Birds Unlimited Store in Stevens Point, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Carl Swarr officiating. Burial will follow the service.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Thursday until the service.

A memorial will be established by his family at a later date.

Mr. Bulgrin was born April 14, 1942, in Marshfield, a son of the late DuWayne and Mary (Smiley) Bulgrin. He attended schools in Owen, Wis.

He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He then attended Central Michigan University where he received a master's degree.

He was employed as a hospital laboratory manager in Texas and Illinois before moving to Stevens Point where he was associated with the laboratory at St. Michael's Hospital.

He most recently owned and operated a Wild Birds Unlimited Store in Stevens Point. He retired in 2004.

He was married to Joyce Albert on Oct. 7, 1967, in Greenwood.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Bryce, Stevens Point; two daughters, Bronnyn (Scott) Wettstein, Custer, and Bethany (Troy) Tschan, Altoona; one brother, Burdell (Anita), Brooklyn Park, Minn.; one niece, Amy (Dale) Printy; and one nephew, Douglas (Heather) Bulgrin.
