Beyer, Alma (Marriage - 4 Jan. 1941)
Miss Alma Beyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Beyer of Pine Valley, and Melvin Mech, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Mech, Greenwood, were united in marriage Saturday, January 4, at 1:30 p.m. at the Lutheran parsonage at Waukon, Iowa. The bride’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Horehled, accompanied them on the trip.
Mrs. Mech completed her course in the Neillsville high school last year, also doing some post graduate work.
Mr. Mech was graduated from the Greenwood High School in 1937, latter attending Central State Teachers college at Stevens Point for two years. At present he is taking a short course in dairying at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where they plan to locate after his course is completed.
They are well known young people of this community, both having devoted their time wisely to home duties and study, a foundation which foretells success for their future.
