Stroinski, Michael (15 SEP 1896 - 8 JUL 1932)

Michael Stroinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Stroinski, of the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died of a tuberculosis-meningitis infection at the Veterans Adm. Hospital at Silver City, New Mexico, on Friday, July 8, 1932. He was born at Thorp on Sept. 15, 1896, where he spent his boyhood days. Upon reaching manhood he was united in marriage to Miss Pearl Dobzynski. During the World’s War he faithfully served as a soldier and received an honorable discharge.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Stroinski of Thorp; two brothers, Frank of Silver City, N.M.; and Theodore of Thorp; also three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Wechlacz of Thorp; Mrs. Edna Strzeleski of Chicago, and Mrs. Verna Teclaw of Thorp.

The funeral took place from St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp, on Thursday morning last, Rev. F.A. Kulig officiating, six members of the Cecil Tormey Post, American Legion, acting as pallbearers. Interment took place in the Parish cemetery.
