Alger, George (27 DEC 1872 - 13 OCT 1932)
George Alger died within a few hours after being taken ill at his home in the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) on Thursday morning last. The cause was internal hemorrhage.
Deceased was born in the Town of Rushford, Winnebago Co., Wis., on Dec. 27, 1872, and had reached the age of 59 years 9 months and 15 days. On Jan. 23, 1891, he was united in marriage to Miss Laura Craig of this village. He had been a resident of Thorp and vicinity for nearly forty-two years, and is survived by his wife, four sons, Earl of Kaukauna; Jay and Sidney of Thorp, and Donald of Ladysmith, and three daughters, Mrs. Eva Asselin, Mrs. Doris Ustruck and Mrs. Hazel Weinberger of Thorp. Two daughters died in infancy.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church at two o’clock on Saturday afternoon last, Rev. James Irish officiating, interment following the services in the village cemetery.
