A quiet wedding was solemnized in the presence of immediate relatives at the Ev. Lutheran Church, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 23rd, 1932, at 2:00 o’clock, when Miss Elda Kriese, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kriese of Thorp, and Mr. Walter R. Mattson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mattson of Cokato, Minn., were united in marriage by Rev. F.H. Sprengler. The couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tiedeman of Milwaukee.
After the ceremony a 4 o’clock dinner, in honor of the bride and groom, was given at the home of the bride’s parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Mattson will make their home in Thorp where the former is employed at The Courier office.
Out of town guests who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mattson and son, Willard Mattson of Cokato, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Al Westphal of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tiedeman and daughter Patsy, and Miss Margaret Pabicki of Milwaukee.
