Danielson, August (19 JUL 1874 - 3 JAN 1944)
August Danielson was born July 19, 1874 in Norway and came to the United States in 1895 and lived in Chicago until 1918, when he came to Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).
He was united in marriage to Dagmar Olson on June 26, 1918 and settled on a farm 2 miles northeast of here where he lived until he became ill about a week ago, when he suffered a severe heart attack, and then went to the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Danielson, who reside 6 miles northeast and where he passed away suddenly about 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, 1944.
Mrs. Danielson passed away in October 1925.
He is survived by a daughter Hazel of Chicago; three brothers, Nels and Bjornesta in Norway and David of Greenwood; 3 sisters, Mrs. Hannah Iverson, Chicago, Mrs. Sophie Iverson, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Raka Anderson, Norway. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 brothers, one of whom was his twin, and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. at the home and 2:00 p.m. at Trondhjem Lutheran Church on Thursday, Rev. M.K. Aaberg will officiate and he will be laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
