Lamb, Paul (10 JAN 1921 - 30 JAN 1944)
Paul Lamb, age 23, teacher of 7th and 8th grades of Greenwood Public School (Clark Co., Wis.), died at his home here at 1:15 Sunday morning, Jan. 30, 1944. On October 4th he suffered a heart attack which caused the illness from which he failed to recover.
He was born Jan. 10, 1921 in Eau Claire, Wis., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamb. He graduated from Eleva High School and in 1940 from the Eau Claire Teacher’s College. He taught the Hay Creek School in Eau Claire County for two years and then accepted the position as teacher of 7th and 8th grades here, which position he filled up to the day of his sickness. He was married Aug. 7, 1943 to Miss Jane Keehn of Boyd, Wis., who since his illness has been teaching in his place.
He is survived by his wife, his parents, two sisters, Doris and Dona, one brother, Cpl. Robert Lamb of Barton Air Field, Florida and two grandfathers.
Funeral services were held at Schiller’s Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Wednesday with Rev. George Heilman officiating, and on Thursday at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, Rev. Herbert Juneau officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery (Eau Claire).
Mr. Lamb was a man of pleasing personality and made many friends during his short stay in Greenwood.
