Langfeldt, Joyce (1941? - 16 MAR 1944)

Joyce Langfeldt, 2, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Langfeldt residing 11 ½ miles northwest of Greenwood passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on Thursday evening, March 16, 1944, as the result of third degree burns suffered to her back and legs when she fell into a tub of hot water being used for washing. She entered the hospital on Tuesday, March 14th.

She is survived by her parents, one sister, Vivian, 2 brothers, Wilfred and Delbert, her grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. J.H. Langfeldt and Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Jachal, both of the Town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.).

A sister, Donna Mae, 3, was killed on Aug. 13, 1942 when she was run over by a truck in the Langfeldt yard.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 from the German Lutheran Church at Reseburg. She was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
