Grant, Helen (17 MAR 1944)
On Friday, March 17, 1944, at St. Veronica’s Catholic Church in Chicago occurred the marriage of Albin Dergance, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Dergance of Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Helen Grant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Grant of Chicago.
The bride wore a white satin gown with train and a long white veil and carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations.
They were attended by the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Grant. Mrs. Grant wore a floor lenth pink gown and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The groom and attendant wore tuxedos.
A reception was held in the evening at the Avondale Hall which was attended by a large crowd. The young couple received many lovely gifts.
Vernon and Matt Dergance Jr. of Willard attended the wedding.
The young couple will reside in Chicago where they are employed, the groom in a defense plant.
The Gleaner joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy married life.
