Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Mary Anna Hoeper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hoeper of Janesville, to Doyle Ervin Thomas, son of Wm. J. Thomas of Madison, formerly of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), on Monday, March 20, 1944, in a candlelight service at the Methodist Church in Monroe, with Rev. Charles A. Briggs officiating.
The bride wore a blue taffeta gown and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. Mrs. Donald Moore, as bridesmaid, wore a pink taffeta gown and carried a bouquet of carnations. Don Moore attended the groom.
A reception was held at the Moore home in Brodhead following the service. Mrs. Thomas is employed at the Fairbanks, Morse and Company at Beloit and the groom is engaged in farming near Brodhead.
The Gleaner joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy married life.
