Vanderhoof, Roselyn (25 MAY 1944)
On Thursday, May 25, 1944, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church at Colby, Miss Roselyn Vanderhoof, daughter of Joel Vanderhoof of Colby, became the bride of Walter Stabnow Jr. of Colby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stabnow Sr. of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), Rev. L.J. Lang officiating.
The bride was attired in a mist green suit with white accessories and her shoulder corsage consisted of gladiolas. She was attended by Miss Bernice Van Slett who wore a soft brown suit with white accessories and her should corsage was also of gladiolas.
The groom was attended by his cousin, Robert Lindner of Greenwood.
A reception was held a the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olson, brother-in-law and sister of the bride. Sweet peas were used for table decorations.
The young couple spent a few days in northern Wisconsin and will be at home in Colby to their many friends after June 1st.
The groom is a graduate of the Greenwood High School with the class of 1937 and is employed at the Colby Theater.
The Gleaner joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy married life.
