Olson, Serina (7 MAR 1913 - 6 AUG 1944)
Mrs. Lloyd Olson, nee Serina Minsaas, 31, daughter of Mrs. John Minsaas, passed away at Mt. Washington Sanitarium at Eau Claire on Sunday, August 6, 1944 at 3:00 a.m., after being at patient there for the past seven years.
She was born in the Town of Beaver (Clark Co., Wis.) March 7, 1913 and received her education there and in Greenwood. She attended United Lutheran Church here but was confirmed while in the sanitarium.
On Oct. 24, 1936 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Olson, shortly after he marriage she became ill and has been at the sanitarium ever since.
She is survived by her husband, her mother, three brothers, Mello at home, Julius of Owen; Paul in the town of Eaton; five sisters, Mrs. Frank (Ida) Tesslof, LaCrosse; Mrs. Palmer (Inga) Nelson of Canton, S.D.; Mrs. Clarence (Agnes) Henchen, Globe; Mrs. Wm. (Mattie) Hansen, Neillsville; and Mrs. Laura Bostwick of Fargo, N.D.
Her father passed away in 1933 and a sister Anna in 1930.
Funeral services were conducted at the United Lutheran Church on Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. A.E. Norson officiating. She was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
