Happy Corners
Elizabeth Embke underwent an appendectomy at a Marshfield hospital Friday night. Her mother stayed with her until Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Wachholtz and family were Easter guests at the Lawrence DeMert home.
Mrs. Elmer Rowe and children of Bloomer motored down Saturday to spend Easter with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Hoesly, Sunday. Mr. Rowe came in his plane to spend the day, Elmer Hoesly flying back with him for a two-day visit at Bloomer. Other Sunday guests at the Hoesly home were Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Rowe of LaCrosse, Mr. and Mrs. Elmhurst of Lynn, Mrs. Matt Resong and son, Joe, and Mrs. Laura Brown and children.
Roads are in a decidedly bad condition at present, but these rains are expected to help them some. One patrolman, when asked how the roads were explained, "Roads? There just ain’t none!"
