Keefe, Edward (19 MAY 1864 - 15 OCT 1944)

Edward Keefe was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on May 19, 1864 and was married at Hebron, Ill. In 1895 to Miss Anna Elizabeth Nelson, who passed away on Oct. 7, 1935.

Mr. Keefe passed away at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire on Sunday, Oct. 15, 1944 at 1:35 p.m., having been a patient there for the past five weeks. Mr. Keefe had fractured his left leg while making wood on his farm 8 miles southwest of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) about six weeks ago and was a patient at the Neillsville Hospital a short tiem before being taken to Eau Claire.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Schiller Funeral Home, Rev. A.J. Abbott officiated. The body was taken to Hebron, Ill., were he was laid to rest beside his wife.

One daughter preceded him in death besides his wife. A nephew, Ray Tompkins, Glendale, Calif., is the only known surviving relative.
