Kleppe, Theodore (? - 11 NOV 1944)

Rev. Theodore Klippe was born in Norway and was graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn., and the Lutheran Seminary in St. Paul.

Rev. Kleppe served the United Lutheran and Trondhjem congregations from 1914 to 1917 and lived where Rev. and Mrs. M.K. Aaberg now reside.

After leaving here Rev. and Mrs. Klippe and their five children, Trygne, Joel, Ruby, Eva and Esther resided at Chippewa Falls, later going to Ashland and Rice Lake, where he served the Lutheran Churches.

Rev. Kleppe passed away on Nov. 11, 1944 at Minneapolis and he was laid to rest in Eau Claire on Tuesday.

He is survived by his wife, a son Joel of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Nels Hanhus, Eau Claire; Mrs. Martin Abrahamson, Brooklyn; and Mrs. Al La Brec of Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. O.K. Olson, Duluth; a brother, S.L. Kleppe, Minneapolis; and 10 grandchildren. His son, Trygne, passed away several years ago.
