Kuester, Leona A. (16 APR 1938)
A quiet wedding took place in the living room of the Henry Beaumeister home at 637 Madison St. Waukesha, Wis., Saturday morning, April 16th at 10 o’clock when Miss Leona Annie Kuester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Kuester of Loyal became the bride of Owen Anderson of Lisbon, Ohio. The bride’s sister Miss Lillian Kuester attended her as bride’s maid. Both wore dark tailored suits with contrasting shoulder veil hats. Their corsages consisted of roses, sweet peas and narcissus. The groom and his best man, Eugene Beaumeister, wore dark suits and carnation boutonnieres. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Millan.
The bridal couple and their attendants descended a unique winding staircase to the usual Lohengrin wedding march. A solo, "I Love You Truly," was sung by June Curphey of Oconomowoc, Wis., and was accompanied by the bride’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Herman Schefus of Loyal.
An elaborate reception was held immediately following the ceremony, and was attended by fifty immediate relatives and friends of the bride and groom.
The bride whose home is at Loyal and the groom at Lisbon, Ohio, will make their home at 637 Madison St. Waukesha, Wis., where both are employed.
The Tribune joins with their many friends in extending Best Wishes for a happy wedded life.
