Emil Deutschlander

THORP -- Emil Deutschlander, 102, of Thorp, died Feb. 28, 2007, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, Wis.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thorp. Burial will be in East Thorp Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

He was born Oct. 23, 1904, in Thorp to John and Valeria (Malonczuk) Deutschlander. He married Irma A. Rice on April 5, 1942. Irma preceded him in death on May 26, 2006. Emil sold insurance for State Farm for many years and raised beef cattle on his farm.

He is survived by his daughter, Anieda (William) Krause, Wisconsin Rapids; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Alma Slovacek, Chicago.
