Clankie, Flora (Marriage - 30 June 1941)
At eleven a.m. Monday, June 30th, Hans Edens of Rockford, Ill., took as his bride, Flora Clankie, also of Rockford. The ceremony was performed by Rev. G. Owen Baxter of the Baptist church at Bowling Green, Missouri, at 11 a.m. Monday, June 30.
The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Edens of Granton and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Campbell of Winchester, Ill.
They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Carson of Rockford, who are friends of the couple.
The bride wore an ashes of roses gown with navy blue accessories with a shoulder bouquet of pink roses and baby breath, while the bridesmaid wore navy blue with white accessories and a shoulder bouquet of red roses and baby breath.
The groom and best man wore dark blue and green respectively.
Dinner for the bridal party was served in Bowling Green.
After a week’s wedding trip in Illinois and Wisconsin they will make their home at Rockford where the groom is employed at Roper, Inc.
The wedding trip included a visit to the groom’s relatives in Granton and vicinity.
