Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nickel and family, Mrs. Louise Nickel, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Nickel, attended the Mission Festival Sunday at the Maple Works Lutheran Church.
Sunday afternoon guests at the Clayton Converse home were Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Schultz, their daughter, Mrs. Clifford Fomfordhe, her two children, all of Arpin.
Mrs. Lawrence Bowman, of Loyal, Mrs. Carl Degnetz of Spencer were Saturday afternoon visitors in the Wesley Jahr home.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Johnson, daughter, Elaine, and son Bill, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zias, of Auburndale, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Art Phipps.
Mrs. Louie Nickel returned Friday, from a several weeks’ stay with friends in Milwaukee, Waterloo, and Marshall, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grimm and two daughters of Stratford were Sunday visitors in the Roy Wright home. Mrs. Wright is an aunt of Mrs. Grimm.
Twin babies, a boy and a girl, came to gladden the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Coyle, July 29. The boy weighted 6 pounds, the girl 3 pounds. They will be called Ollie Mack and Olive Marie. Mr. and Mrs. Coyle were former residents of our neighborhood.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bender have as their guests a sister of the former, Mrs. Essie Martin and son James, of Madison, also a brother, Bernard Bender, of Manitowoc, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Bender with their guests spent Sunday at Hatfield.
Frank Gardner has been spending several days with his son and family. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gardner, York.
