Blocher, Elnorah (14 Oct. 1901 - 11 Oct. 1941)

Mrs. Elnorah Blocher was born October 14th, 1901, at Kingman, Kansas. She passed away suddenly October eleventh, 1941, at her home in Minneapolis, at the age of 39 years, 11 months and 27 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bates of the Town of Dewhurst. Her children was spent in Iowan and Wisconsin, going to Minneapolis in 1924, at which time she united with the Church of the Brethren, to which she remained loyal and faithful to the end.

On December 23rd, 1926, she was united in marriage to Elmer D. Blocker. To this union were born seven children, two daughters and five sons. One son preceded his mother in death.

Her family and the church were give first places in her life. She possessed a kindly disposition and was always ready and willing to assist wherever she was needed.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and children; Earl F., Doris L., Allen F., Sherman J., Elmer George and Elnora Jean. Also by her aged parents, three sisters, Mary A., Neillsville; Effie, Mrs. Fred Meyer, Rochester, Minn.; and Annie, Mrs. Albert Anderson, Neillsville, Wis. A brother, Andrew N., preceded her in death.

Services were conducted at the church of the Brethren, Minneapolis by Rev. Stanley Kellar, assisted by the Reverends A. C. McIlnay and Barnhart. Burial was made in the Crystal Lake cemetery in Minneapolis, the rites being held at 2 p.m. on October 15.

Miss Mary Bates and Mrs. Elmer Anderson, Pine Valley, attended.
