Matysik, Frank (11 SEP 1858 - 24 DEC 1936)
Frank Matysik was born in Persuia, Germany, on Sept. 11, 1858. He came to this country with his parents, when ten years of age, and lived in New York for two years, then moving to Chicago, where he started work at the age of fourteen. Nine years later, in 1881, he located in the town of Cleveland, where he has since resided.
At the age of 31 years, he was married to Miss Madaline Dalkie. To them were born thirteen children, of whom four died in infancy. Surviving are: Andrew M., of Altoona, Frank and Mrs. Agnes Orlaski, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Amanda Schziedl and Mrs. Dorothy Abrahamson, of Fairchild, Alexander and Tony at home, Mrs. Cecelia Garber and Mrs. Regina Aebersold of Humbird. Besides his children he leaves to mourn his death, two sisters, Mrs. Thekla Lubinski and Mrs. Frank Koboski, and one brother, John Matysik, all residing in this vicinity; and twenty-nine grandchildren.
His wife died July 29, 1925, and Mr. Matysik passed away at his home Dec. 24, 1936, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 11 days. His health failed during the past summer, and he suffered much for five weeks previous to his death. Funeral services were held at the St. John Kanly’s Polish Catholic church in Fairchild Monday forenoon, Dec. 28, and burial was to the church cemetery.
