Nibbe, Marjory (Marriage - 23 Oct. 1937)
St. John’s Lutheran parsonage in Neillsville was the scene of a happy wedding at 2:00 o’clock last Saturday afternoon, when the Rev. Wm. A. Baumann united in holy wedlock, Mr. Vern Hart, second son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Hart, and Miss Marjory Nibbe, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Nibbe, both of this village.
The bride and groom were tastily dressed in Oxford gray suits, and were attended by Miss Dorothy Nibbe, sister of the bride, and Master Lloyd Hart, brother of the groom. Both attendants were similarly dressed. Following the ceremony, the party returned to the bride’s home, where a wedding supper was served. Only the family was present, and the bride’s brother Norman, came from Racine especially to attend.
Saturday evening a dancing party was held at the town hall, attended by a large number of young friends, and Sunday the groom’s parents were host and hostess to the relatives at a wedding dinner.
The newly weds started housekeeping Monday at apartments at 504 Forest St., Eau Claire, the groom having employment in that city. Both of these young people are recent graduates of Humbird high school, and are entering life’s journey with the best wishes of a host of friends.
