Local Happenings
A. V. Stallard and wife, of Eau Claire, Sunday with the home folks.
Miss Elsie Linder is employed as waitress in the Chaptman’s café at Neillsville, Wis.
Special prices on Xmas Candies and Nuts, to churches, schools, lodges, etc., at Tritsch’s.
Mrs. Ludwig Miller, who accompanied her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kelsh, to Milwaukee after their brief hunting trip visit here, returned home Saturday evening.
John Sylvester, who operates the Rivard warehouse in Fairchild was a caller in Town Monday forenoon. Mr. Sylvester formerly lived on the farm northwest of Fairchild, owned by Harry Fristad.
Gerald Hart has moved his family from Neillsville to Vesper, where he had entered into a partnership in a new grocery and meat market. His partner is Elmer Maknik, a young man of Granton, who has a number of years experience in the grocery line.
Miss Geneva Buchholz, of Altoona, was elected president of the La Crosse sorority of the Wisconsin Business University. Miss Buchholz is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Buchholz and a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Buchholz, of this village.
John Babler has arranged for a change of management of his farm here. M. J. Michaletz and family, who have been on the farm for the past three years, are leaving the place and Riphenburg Bros., of Osseo, are replacing him. The latter parties lived on the John *Rest Cut off. **
