Local Happenings

M. Kretschmer made a business trip to Osseo last Thursday afternoon.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hart, at Neillsville, Jan. 22.

K. A. Stafford and family autoed to Janesville Saturday for a short visit with friends.

Will Weigert, of the town of Foster, was a caller at this office last Saturday, while on the day to Alma Center on business.

Geo. Palmer, aged 85 years, from near Neillsville, is being cared for at the home of Mrs. Vinton.

Jesse Metcalf, wife, and granddaughter, of Altoona, spent Sunday with Ben Hart and family.

Mr. and Mrs. John Aebersold leave this weekend for their new home six miles east of Darlington.

Mrs. R. J. Stuve went to Black River Falls Monday and bought Miss Helen Stuve home for a couple of days stay.

W. F. Hein is off of the mail route a few trips, owing to a severe cold. A. L. Sparkes is substituting, Keith Briggs assisting.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hart went to Eau Claire Sunday, and spent the day with Clarence Perry and wife and H. W. Brown and family.

L. A. Allen, of Neillsville, who had charge of the veteran’s graves registration when that work was a project, and is following up the work himself, after the govt called off the project before its completion, as has been done with many another good projects, was a caller at the editorial home one day recently. Mr. Allen was looking for data on Capt. Joseph H. Finley, of the war of 1812, who is supposed to be buried in Levis.
