Winner, Grant (? - 15 Feb. 1938)
Grant Winner was found dead on the floor of the anteroom of the Masonic temple, about 5:30 Tuesday afternoon. Dr. H. U. Winner, his son, found the body, after Mr. Winner’s long absence from home aroused anxiety. Dr. Schwarz was summoned and stated that death was caused from heart failure and that he had probably passed away about two hours before. The remains were taken to M. Kretschmer’s funeral parlors.
Mr. Winner had been janitor of the Masonic Temple since 1926, and was getting the rooms ready for a session on the lodge Tuesday evening. Dr. Winner, whose home is in Watford City, N. Dak., arrived Monday night to spend a few days with his parents. Other members of the family, Paul C. Winner of Madison and Mrs. Mae Hyre, of Appleton, and his grandson, Kenneth Hyre, of Milwaukee, were notified at once, and arrived Wednesday afternoon.
Public funeral services will be held at the Masonic hall Friday afternoon at 1:30, and burial will be in the Sechlerville Cemetery, according to present arrangements.
