Holman, Ramona (Marriage - 5 March 1938)

The marriage of Miss Ramona Holman and Mr. Elmer A. Duerkop was solemnized at the Lutheran parsonage in Osseo at eleven o’clock Saturday morning, March 5th, the Rev. Holverson officiating. The bride and groom were attended by Misses Irene Duerkop and Wilma Holman, and Gerald Holman and Marvin Duerkop.

The bride wore a plain blue dress with navy accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Her bridesmaids wore dark blue crepe dresses alike and corsages of roses and sweet peas.

The groom wore a dark suit and a gardenia buttoneir, and his attendants wore oxford gray suits and carnations buttoneirs.

Following the ceremony the party returned to the home of the bride’s parents where a fine wedding dinner was served to sixty-five relatives and friends. In the evening a dancing party was given for a host of relatives and friends at the town hall in our village.

The bride of this happy wedding is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gunder Holman, of the town of Cleveland. She attended Humbird High School, graduating with the class of 1935, and since her graduation has been employed in Milwaukee. For the past few years, until last fall when he located on a farm in Garden Valley, the groom, who is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. Duerkop, has been employed at Alma.

Mr. and Mrs. Duerkop are already keeping house on the Geo. Ringrose farm in Garden Valley.
