Greub, Gladys (Marriage - 16 JUN 1937)
Wednesday Evening of last week, June 16th, Mr. Herbert D. Greene and Miss Gladys Greub, accompanied by Miss Winifred Hardwick and Mr. Willard Putnam, slipped quietly away from their friend to the Evangelical and Reformed parsonage in Neillsville, where the two former named young people were united in the bonds of holy wedlock. The Rev. Wilson M. Bixler officiated, and the latter couple attended the bride and groom.
Both of the contracting parties are well known in this vicinity, and are popular amongst their friends. The bride of this happy June wedding, Miss Gladys Greub, is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Greub. She was a member of the class of 1937 of Humbird high school. The groom, Herbert D. Greene, is also an alumnus of the school, a member of the class of ‘28. He is the younger son of Mr. And Mrs. Fletcher D. Greene, and has the charge of the farm two miles east of town, where they will make their home. Saturday evening the newly weds entertained their friends at a dancing party at the Odd Fellows hall, in celebration of the event.
