Seefeldt, Alvina (21 Sept. 1873 - 14 Dec. 1938)
Mrs. Alvina Seefeldt passed away at her home in Spencer at 5 p.m., Dec. 14, 1938, aged 65 years. Funeral services were held in Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. C. Stapel, with interment in the north Spencer Cemetery, beside those of her husband, Frank Seefeldt, who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1917.
Alvina Wohlfahrt was born in Pommern, Germany, Sept. 21, 1873 the daughter of the late Herman and Mrs. Wohlfahrt. She came with her parents to America when she was six years of age, settling at Iron Ridge, Dodge County, and later to a farm in the town of Brighton.
On Nov. 20, 1895, was married to Fred Seefeldt and lived in Spencer until 1904. They lived in Humbird for ten years, returning to Spencer in 1914, which has since been her home.
Her illness was but of four days’ duration. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Henry (Laura) Plath and Arthur Seefeldt of Minneapolis; Mrs. Howard (Leona) Hause, Colby; and Alta Seefeldt, at home; one grandchildren, Orlin Plath; a sister, Mrs. Frank Schallock, Marshfield; and one brother, Richard Wohlfahrt, Camp Lake. - Spencer Record.
