Flentie, Ione (17 DEC 1931)
On Thursday afternoon, Dec 17th, at 2:30, Ione Flentie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Flentie,a nd Alfred Beyers, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Beyers, were united in marriage at the Lutheran Church at Appleton. Ruth Broeske of Dorchester, cousin of the bride, and Arthur Beyers, brother of the groom, were bridesmaid and best man, respectively.
The bride was tastily attired in a beautiful cocoa brown satin gown, hat, stockings and slipper to match, and carried a lovely corsage bouquet of red and white roses and the bridesmaid was also attired in brown. The gentlemen wore blue suits.
After the wedding the bridal party had pictures taken and then repaired to the bride’s home where a lovely wedding dinner was served to about 40 guests. In the evening they enjoyed a wedding dance. Mr. and Mrs. Beyers will live for the present with Mrs. Beyers parents at Appleton, as Mr. Beyers is employed at the Appleton Coated Paper Co.
The Flenties are old residents of Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) and though Ione has made her home at Appleton, she has visited here with relatives and has many friends who join us in wishing the happy couple much joy. Mr. Beyers, of course, is a stranger, but we trust Ione to pick a winner and we congratulate them as do all Dorchester friends. Mrs. Copeland, Gilbert and Ruth Broeske were the guests from Dorchester, Wis.
